I'd fallen in love with this Rohl sink long before we renovated our kitchen. I'd considered the larger version, but went with the 30" because the larger size seemed too big and I liked the off-center location for the drain. My contractor installed it and it's absolutely beautiful. It definitely makes the statement I wanted of classic, traditional, and timeless. I took off one star because I wish it drained better. If the sink was slightly more slanted toward the hold it would drain SO much easier, it can be really hard sometimes to wash everything down the drain. I'd highly recommend the wire sink grid that goes with this sink.I love this sink!! I have wanted one for a long time and it has met all of my expectations. I do wish the sink had more of a slope to it so everything would wash down the drain. You have to spray everything down the drain or it will sit in the side opposite of the drain. You also need to make sure and order the special drain they suggest with the sink. It has too be extra deep and it costs $100+. I had bought one at Lowe's and it didn't fit. I was thankful that my contractor was there when the plumber was installing it and happened to have one in his car that he had ordered for another client. Would have really stunk if I had to pay the plumbers to come and didn't have all of the parts.Overall love the look of the sink. Only complaint is the water pools up so you literally have to use your hand to push it down the drain. There are also hairline fractures in the bottom. Not sure if this is a normal occurrence. Overall the wife the loves it and we all know the saying.... Happy wife happy life!This is not your everyday sink. It's a bit like having a child. My previous sinks have been stainless steel, and I kind of dissed them. Because, well, they were STAINLESS STEEL. You, know, impervious. And so hospital-like. And then came this beautiful, heavy, preposterous white giant. Our contractor grumbled a bit, and we decided not to install a garbage disposal, for fear of cracking. But WOW. We are so happy with this sink. It's the focal point of our home. Amazon delivered it carefully and at half the price. It's impervious like stainless steel, but so beautiful that we want to baby it. I wax it with car wax once a week, dry it every night, and wake up to beauty. I never use anything abrasive and I also use a basin rack all the time. Why has this happened?Have had my sink for 4 years now. I cook every day and absolutely love my sink! Just make sure you have a professional install it with additional support because it weighs 200 lbs. Also get a grid for the bottom to protect it. And you will have to chase some particles around to get them to the drain. But otherwise, it is the heart of my kitchen.The sink originally came broken in half, but Amazon sent someone out to pick it up and had a replacement sink sent out the next day. The customer service staff was excellent. We had the new one installed and are completely satisfied with it. It is a beautiful sink! It looks great in our new kitchen!If water gathering at one side bothers you may not want this sink. It is handmade and has natural recesses on the inside that may pool water, mine does. It does bother me but what am I gonna do ...it is installed already. Other than that, I really love the size, the look and stain resistance.
