I just cleaned it, and it did well. Prior to this one, I had a cedar block which split, was hard to clean, and not durable. This promises to be sturdy. Teak was the wood used for ship decks back in the day. Water doesn't bother it. I put my soap bar and my shampoo bar on it, and it works great. Would recommend.This soap dish is great! I was getting tired of sloppy soap or water all over the counter. This drains off water and the soap dries fast. Less waste of soap. It looks nice, too.Our countertop is not the best for soap dishes, but as long as the waterfall points over the sink it works.This is a simply made, but quite attractive and very sturdy soap dish that is slightly slanted to allow soap and water to drain out. Well worth the price!Good quality & does a great job of keeping soap from getting mushy & slimy!I am not a fan of plastic soap dishes. We have tried other types but these are the favoriteI’m impressed with this soap dish, sturdy, easy to clean and water drains easily. Happy with this purchase.This soap dish has nice clean lines, soapy water can drain, and any soapy remains are easily removed while the dish is wet. It fits in well with my new bath.Does it's job an sits in a rack and extends the life of the soapI bought this after reading glowing reviews, but it is a disappointment. The soap remains damp and turns mushy. I subsequently bought an enamel soap dish and the same brand of soap drains well and stays solid, so I assume the difference to be attributable to the dishes.This is ok. It does what it's supposed to, let's my soap drip dry, instead of ending up with a soggy mushy messy lump of soap. It's ok for cleaning, just give it a wipe and scrape under running water.It just doesn't sit very well. On my sink, it slides around. It actually slides off the edge INTO the sink. So currently I have it on the window ledge hanging off the edge so the water drips onto the edge of my sink, where it'll then dribble into the bowl itself.It actually baffled me that "Suction Power" is one of the review criteria. What suction power? That's the worst thing ever on this product.3-Star from me. I'd try others, if I was going to buy more of these.But it's not so bad that I'm going to get rid of them. They're ok....Brilliant design, looks amazing and smart. I’m just delighted with my new soap dish - honestly never imagined a soap dish could put such a smile on my face! Recommended. Water drains away and the soap bar remains solid. What a simple and elegant idea.Fits my big blocks of hemp soap on, had for a couple of months now and looks new and clean even though I don’t clean it :)Looks nice and a must if you are trading shower gels for old fashioned soap bars.It is a beautiful soap holder, but it stained the surface it sits on next to our sink.
